The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) can provide an alternate means of entry into Canada.  It allows Saskatchewan to nominate applicants, who qualify under criteria established by the province, to the federal government for permanent residency.  There is no deadline to apply to the SINP.  However, program criteria may change without notice and your application will be assessed according to the criteria in place at the time we receive your complete application.


Important Notice: The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)’s Online Application System will be going through a major upgrade to improve the system’s efficiency and user experience. The online application system will not be available from June 3 – 7, 2015.

These upgrades will impact all online applications that have been started but not yet submitted to the SINP. If you do not complete and submit your online application before June 3, 2015, your unfinished application will be closed. Please refer to the SINP section for more information on what is required for the particular category you may be eligible to apply to. You are encouraged to submit your application prior to June 3rd and advise the SINP if you are still waiting for a required document and provide that document as soon as possible by email to

If you do not submit your application by June 3rd, you will need to register again and start a new application on or after June 8, 2015.

The SINP offers:

  • applicant selection based on the province's economic and labour force needs;
  • competitive application processing times; and,
  • provincial immigration officers who can provide customer support throughout the process.

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) has application intake thresholds to improve program efficiency.  The SINP will accept a maximum number of applications in each category in each calendar year.  Visit SINP Application Intake Thresholds for more information.

The International Skilled Worker category is for skilled workers who want to work and live in Saskatchewan.

The Saskatchewan Experience category is for foreign nationals currently working and living in Saskatchewan.

The Entrepreneur and Farm category is for applicants who wish to invest their management talent and capital in a Saskatchewan business or farm operation.
